May 27 was the Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner.  It was attended by over 60 veterans and family members.  Great turn out and had a time of recognizing various branches of the service with attendees representing the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Air Force.

Members of Post 984 placed flags around the cemetaries in Las Animas county on Memorial Day. 

On Flag Day, the post and the boy scouts retired a number of flags.  Pictures are posted on the photo page.

The post is active working with the nursing home in Trinidad and at the veterans home in Walsenburg. 

The Post has a blog that will allow members to post their ideas and thoughts on the world today.
